TopOrthoApps.com is dedicated to reviewing mobile apps that are useful to orthopaedic providers, trainees, and students. We recognize that medical providers do not have the time nor the money to test every app available, so we provide concise reviews for the apps you might find most helpful.
This site was founded by Orrin I. Franko, MD, a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Franko has published scientific manuscripts on the topic of smartphone app use among orthopaedic surgeons, and he is the Lead App Editor for the Journal of Mobile Technology in Medicine. This site was built to help busy surgeons identify apps that are most useful in the clinical, academic, and educational environments. To learn about Dr. Franko’s practice, visit www.ebhmc.com or learn about Dr. Franko at https://ebhmc.com/dr-franko/.
The site is also supported by John P. Andrawis, MD/MBA, a resident member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. John has a concentration in entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago and enjoys mixing his interest in technology with Orthopaedics. He is excited to team up with www.TopOrthoApps.com to continue its mission and provide concise app reviews that will be useful to the orthopaedic community.
Dayne Mickelson, MD is a senior resident at the University of Washington and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
